Cary Miller

Originally from New Jersey, I moved to California 15 years ago and have never looked back!

Over the past few years, I have been developing my own style of imaging.  When going to museums and galleries, I found that traditional photography began to bore me. It looked so "20th Century."

That is when I began to experiment with more HDR (High Dynamic Range) images as well as other software imaging filters that were more than just Photoshop. I believe the final image doesn't have to have any resemblance to the original capture. It should be as I perceived it and my impression of what I saw.

Sound like the impressionists from the 1880's to 1920's?

Well, yes! That is how I have been approaching most of the images I capture.

I am often at many of the local beaches in Los Angeles capturing images of surfers.   If you see me, feel free to ask for a business card.   I post my RAW images to my site within a day or so by location and date.  Check out my Galleries and you will find a Local Beach Surfers by Date section.

If you find an image of yourself and wish to purchase it, drop me an email.   I might also have additional images of the same wave sequence that were not uploaded to Eye4Digital
